This is a 'living memo block' made from unprocessed Japanese red pine shaved to an astounding thinness and then dried.  The soft fragrance of red pine is present.  Meticulously hand-bound.

As each page is alive, you will notice changes over time - perhaps a change of color, some slight warping or a tear along the grain - please enjoy this natural unfolding.  How different it is to face a moment of nature than a blank page...the forest welcomes you with its own poetry and presence.

Pen, pencil, brush pen, etc may be used - only mechanical pencil is not recommended.
