Rosewood Chopping Knife, 5.5in
This popular Santoku-style Chopping Knife is possibly the most multifunctional kitchen knife in our range. The short, deep blade is strong enough to cut even the hardest of vegetables whilst its slight curve and point make it perfect for fine chopping using a rocking technique. A truly versatile knife suitable for chopping, slicing and mincing the majority of foods with ease.
Knife blades exploit the latest techniques in steel casting to arrive at the beautifully curved bolster. Blades are precision ground and glazed to give a specially bright finish. Drawing on the David Mellor expertise in metalwork these are amongst the world’s finest knives.

Rooted in Sheffield's storied metalworking heritage, David Mellor's design legacy spans decades of innovation and artistry. A classically trained silversmith whose work graces museum collections globally, Mellor founded his workshop in 1973 and later established The Round Building—a purpose-built factory in Derbyshire—to perfect his craft. His design collection embodies this philosophy: contemporary design informed by time-honored techniques, marrying traditional excellence with modern sensibility. Each piece reflects Mellor's commitment to creating cutlery that transcends trends, delivering enduring quality for today's table.
