In this capsule edition available for a limited time, the Alessandro M. corkscrew sports an original outfit by contemporary fashion talent Arthur Arbesser. The celebrated design self-portrait comes alive in a dynamic swirl of colorful stripes, translating the spiral motion into the cork into a pattern that infuses rhythm and energy into the piece. An original interpretation of sustainability: Twirl is crafted from AlkiPaper®, an innovative biocomposite free of petroleum derivatives.
Giallo e Nero
Born by the creative flair of Mendini, this corkscrew is an ironic and transformational self-portrait which embodies the playful yet sophisticated spirit of its author. Dressed in a yellow and black chequered suit, it does not go unnoticed: “the chequer pattern is a puzzling, enigmatic one, particularly when yellow and black”, Mendini observed, “it has the strength to structure any shape, harnessing it in a hypnotic mesh, also susceptible to virtual deformations.”
