David Hieatt is widely regarded as a marketing innovator. After departing from Saatchi, he grew howies into one of the most influential active sports brands of recent times. Following its sale to Timberland, he co-founded The DO Lectures, recognized by The Guardian as one of the top ten ideas festivals worldwide. More recently, he launched Hiut Denim in his hometown of Cardigan, West Wales—a place once home to Britain’s largest jeans factory—with the goal of restoring jobs for 400 people. In 2024, Hiut Denim was featured on BBC2's Inside the Factory. David enjoys a passionate online following and has spoken at leading companies such as Apple, Google, and Red Bull.
