Chris Rosi’s love of pizza began with Friday nights at a no-frills spot in Stamford, Connecticut, known for its paper-thin pies and unforgettable spicy hot oil. Years later, after working in pizzerias from San Diego to Quarter Sheets, he set out to recreate the flavor of those childhood pies.

As the bar pie recipe came together, one thing was still missing: the hot oil. After months of experimentation, the perfect version emerged — bright, spicy, and deeply nostalgic. Thus, Rosi’s Hot Oil was born. Originally made for pizza, it quickly became a favorite on everything from salads and pasta to meatballs.
