Incense by Baba Suishaba
Made from Japanese cedar and bay leaves, this incense is ideal to create a relaxed and clean environment. Known for its refreshing, soothing scent and anti-microbial nature, cedar leaves have been used for centuries in meditative practice. It lingers long after the stick is burnt out.
Burning time for each stick is approximately 40 minutes. Each box has a quantity of 70 sticks. Made in Japan from 100% sustainably sourced wood, its production process is entirely powered by water from the local stream and biomass heat.
The Baba Watermill was founded 100 years ago by the village members jointly, and now is owned and run by the Babas, husband and wife duo. Deeply rooted in the local community in Yame, southern Japan, the duo has a strong passion to carry on the area's legacy of forestry-based manufacturing in the best way possible. The mill constantly receives visitors who are keen to learn from this successful model of sustainable community business. There are no man-made chemicals used in this item, instead, a small amount of Japanese bay leaves are mixed in to serve as natural resin.
